Our Process + Your Conversion

Our conversion process has been refined over the years. Our team is highly skilled and has a wide range of knowledge across the automotive industry. We pride ourselves on excellent customer relationships.

Many of our customers have turned into long-term clients. We have customers who are on their third Wildworx campervan.

We create a package that works for you. We pour years of experience into your build. From the initial project consultation to the day, you collect your new Campervan.

Once you leave with your van, that’s not the end. We take great pride in ensuring you’re 100% happy with your camper. Proven by our long warranty period and excellent reputation.

This is what our Campervan Conversion process looks like:

Step 1: Get in touch with us for an initial phone chat.
Step 2: We create a bespoke quotation for your project.
Step 3: Consultation process. Either face-to-face or via video chat.
Step 4: Final quote is approved, deposit paid and build slot secured.
Step 5: Vehicle arrives at Wildworx workshop + conversion starts.
Step 6: Full process is documented via WhatsApp.
Step 7: Collect your fully converted Campervan!

Campervan Conversion: Base Vehicle

The Wildworx Everest Edition camper conversion can be built into the Volkswagen T6 + T6.1. You can provide your own vehicle. Alternatively, a limited number of brand-new VW T6.1s and VW Crafters are available throughout the year.

We’re able to help source you a base vehicle. Whether it’s new or nearly new, we can find the perfect vehicle for your camper conversion. Check out our vehicles in stock.

If you’re looking at converting something a little different, we can do that too. We’ve converted VW Caddy, VW Crafter, Ford, Nissan and Vauxhall. Each of these vehicles requires a different process.

Base Vehicle Recommended Specification

There are endless variations of base vehicles you can use. Much of choosing your base vehicle comes down to budget and availability.

We have fine-tuned the specification we favour over the years. You’ll find that most of our campers are converted using the following base vehicle:

VW T6.1 Highline 2.0 150bhp / Tailgate / AC Captains Chairs with factory swivel

For our Wildworx Swamper Edition, we upgrade the vehicle to a 200 bhp four-motion DSG. This gives the van greater off-road capabilities.

How much does a campervan conversion cost?

Campervans have evolved quickly in the last few years… and so have their prices. It can be hard to see the good from the bad. It’s essential to look for a professional conversion company with clear and transparent prices.

A professional Campervan Conversion can cost anywhere from £15,000 - £45,000.

The total cost depends on what level of Conversion you're going for. Adding things like solar panels, lithium batteries, and Fiamma Awnings will increase the overall cost of the build.

Campervans are an investment. They hold their value and will continue to be in demand. A good quality and professional conversion should be something you can enjoy for years without causing stress.

When can you fit me in?

We only take on a limited number of customer projects each year. Our 2023 and 2024 dates are filling up fast. Look at our Camper Conversion Price List for our available build slots.

Your Campervan Tanks: Water + Gas

Wildworx only uses underslung water and gas tanks. We do this for two reasons. Firstly to save all vital space inside the vehicle. Secondly (and most importantly) for safety. If the gas is stored outside the vehicle, it eliminates the risk of gas leaks inside the van.

Styling and suspension upgrades

We take on a small number of suspension projects each year. These are usually air suspension upgrades to increase off-road capabilities. We offer both Coilovers and Lowering Springs in our store.

The external parts of your project are just as important. We offer bespoke styling options. From Splitters, sidebars, snorkels, ladders, bike racks and spare wheel carriers.

What about campervan insurance?

As campers become more popular, so does van theft. We recommend using a specialist insurance company that understands camper van conversions. If the worst were to happen, they would pay out for the total value of the campervan and not only for the value of a panel van.
